About Net-Birdie Tournaments
Better Tournament Operation. More Time for Your Players
Great golf tournaments should feel effortless to the players.
Behind the scenes, however, tournament golf is anything but effortless. Event setup, player registration, flights, teams, pairings, handicaps, stroke allocations, scorecards, scoring, leaderboards, results and countless other details all require time and attention from the professional staff.
Net-Birdie Tournaments was created to handle that work.
For Golf Professionals and General Managers, tournament administration can consume hours that would be better spent interacting with members, assisting players, managing golf operations and delivering the experience your club is known for.
Net-Birdie provides tournament administration and scoring support that works alongside your professional staff. From initial tournament setup through the final leaderboard, we can manage the details behind the scenes while your team focuses on what matters most—the Player and Member Experience.
Using industry-leading Golf Genius tournament software, Net-Birdie can provide a professional tournament environment including event setup, pairings, scorecards, handicap and stroke verification, live scoring, leaderboards, event webpages and final results.
Whether you need assistance with one aspect of an event or want someone to handle virtually the entire tournament administration process, our services can be tailored to your club and your event.
Meet Brian Baker
Net-Birdie Tournaments was founded by Brian Baker, an experienced tournament administrator, golf association leader and certified USGA Rules of Golf official with more than a decade of involvement in organized club and competitive golf.
Brian has been a member of Skybrook Golf Club since approximately 2013 and currently serves as President of the club's Men's Golf Association, representing approximately 100 members. He also serves on Skybrook's Handicap Committee.
As President of the Men's Golf Association, Brian oversees an active tournament program that includes weekly competitions and season-long points and standings designed to encourage participation and keep members engaged throughout the golf season.
Working with both the Men's Golf Association and Skybrook Golf Club, Brian helps administer more than 50 tournaments annually, including weekly competitions as well as major club events such as Member-Member tournaments, Member-Guest events and Club Championships.
Much of that work is performed through Golf Genius, where Brian has extensive hands-on experience with tournament setup, player management, teams and pairings, handicaps, scorecards, scoring, live leaderboards and tournament results.
His experience extends beyond club golf.
Brian is USGA Rules Certified and volunteers as a Rules Official for both the Carolinas Golf Association (CGA) and the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA). That experience provides an additional level of Rules of Golf knowledge and competitive-golf perspective that can be particularly valuable when administering tournament play.
Brian has also expanded his tournament-management work to include private golf events across Pinnacle Golf Properties, providing clubs with an additional tournament resource while allowing their professional staffs to remain focused on their members and players.
